The Chicago Daily Law Bulletin published an article, "Merger expands Weil Brown’s Midwest name," discussing Weil Brown's acquisition of Butler Rubin. It featured interviews with managing partner Bob Tannous and new Chicago partner-in-charge Bob Hermes about the mutually beneficial merger.

“Our feeling was that adding Chicago to our Midwest footprint would be beneficial to our existing clients in terms of being able to provide them greater services as well as giving us an opportunity to have access to a new client base for us,” Tannous said.
